I am raised in a creative environment. My grandfather was contractor and furniture designer in his spare time. He had an admirable passion for the craftsmanship related to this field of design. My parents have a great interest in fine arts and sculpture design. As a small child, they always took me to art galleries.
Years later, in my fine arts and art history classes at high school, I spent my days crafting sculptures, objects and paintings and examining art movements. My design diary continued when I moved to Delft to study the bachelor degree in Industrial Design Engineering. In my third year of my Bachelor degree, I decided to make a small detour for an exchange program at the RMIT, located in Melbourne, Australia. In 2019, I successfully obtained the master degree in Integrated Product Design at the Delft University of Technology.
As I wandered around in the art galleries as a little boy, discovering new paintings and sculptures, I still wander today, discovering new relations in design, aesthetics and behaviours. I’m honest, I truly am inspired by other designer’s work, ideas and beliefs. I enjoy reinterpreting those. It gives me new perspectives on design.
